hello
Having just returned from truck i thought i would share my experience with others
It all started with a text message from my dive buddy chris it said “ How do you fancy Truck This Year “
So I Replied “i will get some quotes”
7 month later we are sat in Manchester airport waiting for our first flight
I booked the holiday through explorers and for the 12 day holiday cost £1605
This included 8 nights at the Blue Lagoon resort and two nights at a hotel in soul one night on the way out and the other night on the return
although it took two days traveling and a lot of waiting in numerous airport we finally arrived at the resort
the rooms was basic but very clean with a fantastic air conditioning unit on the wall
there was also a TV that you could use in conjunction with a DVD play that you can rent from reception
The restaurant was fantastic although a bit expensive it cost about $10 For Breakfast And $30 - $50 For The Evening Meal, Packed lunch was available for about $20 per day but after sampling it once we decided that a few items from the On site shop was a lot better
The Karaoke bar opened At 2pm and closed when The outside bar opened about 6pm
and the outside bar closed at 10pm ( Bed Time ) as once the bar was closed there is nothing to do
keeping in touch with home was not bad there is wifi in the resort but it is very slow
and there is dial up connection in reception
we took our own dive gear and i am so pleased we did, the equipment although well looked after was very old
The dive shop was more like a clothes shop all it sold was t-shirts and shorts
An 11 dive Package Cost Us An Extra $800 each
the wrecks was amazing and well worth all the traveling although i thought the lack of decent marine life let it down somewhat
Would i go back again ?.... yes in about 10 years time
I would recommend the blue lagoon resort and dive shop to anyone
