Hi Dawn

How do you get to someones profile on the site when they say hi (get email notification but no access thru site)?  Could it be possible to search for someone by profile name?

Sorry im not Dawn but hope I will do.

The ability to do a search for a specific member is something that will be looked at. At the moment the only way to find them is to see if they have posted something on the forums and then click on their name and go straight to their profile or search through the meet other divers facility. Or check at the bottom of the Forum page and if they are a new member their name may still be at the bottom.

I’m having the saem problems as scubachick when being notified that a member has said ‘Hi’ there is no way to retrieve the information relating to who it is!!
Also, when trying to preview this message, it hung my PC twice!

Messaged Dawn re the specifics of a search for a diver’s location. Guernsey is not listed (not so strange as we are tiny) but nEITHER is London either (which I locate to quite often by air).
Can you not a non specific location encompassing “all” locations ...if for instance looking for someone..no matter what preference you indicate ‘ie, dive buddy, paartner etc?

I have added the Channel Islands as a region on the drop down list as well as London not sure how they were missed lol

The other question regarding looking for people I will look into and see what can be done and get back to you.

Hi kelsa (and Shaun, and if anyone else has same prob)

My way round the ‘Hi’ phenomenom (amazed I could spell that!) I have discovered currently is to copy and paste the link from my email notification into fish4divers web address bar thingy once you have logged in (you know the http bit at top, can’t think of techi name).  This will take you straight to your ‘hi’ friends profile.

Is thyere any way of showing all ‘new posts’ or in order of latest post first? Rather than going into each section. VBulletin has a New Posts button, somethng like that. Now the forum has so many sub-sections it’s hard work going through them all, so I don’t.
