What a good move from the Eygptian Minister of Tourism to make it law that liveaboards operating at or south of the Brothers Islands must carry an approved diver tracking device. What would be an even better idea is for all liveaboards to have one, which ever area they operate in!

Anybody else have any views on this?

Its good to see the Red Sea authorities taking a lead on this issue and I agree all liveaboards should be using some form of diver tracker device. I would willingly pay a small levy to carry something that would ensure I was not lost or left behind.

Anything that can enhance or improve the safety for divers has got to be worth while.
