Underwater Torch
I bought this torch in Malta a few years ago now from MALTAQUA who I was diving with at the time. I have taken it on all my dives since clipped onto my BCD as you never know when you will need some light whether to explore some dark hole or swim through cavern or to provide some light for a photo. It has never let me down the battery life is very good and it only needs two AA batteries. It is light weight and small but even so produces a great deal of light when needed. The Aluminum case is very durable and I can testify that it can withstand some very hard knocks.

Without going surfing the net for one… What is the cost of one of these torches Shaun???? I got quite an old torch that eats batteries.

Anyone else recommend a little torch like the Aquatec Aqua-Star that Shaun has… The big beasts are ok for night diving but a little small baby like that is cool just to clip on the BCD for looking in holes or caverns as Shaun mentions..

Hi Kieth I have just seen your reply I think I paid about £45 for it but I was in Malta and it was a while ago. But its a great torch to just clip on and carry about for everyday diving providing great illumination. The batteries seem to last forever as well.

Great little torches I have had one for 6 years, since they came out, store it under the shoulder strap of the harness - always there when you need it, always work still has same ‘o’ ring batteries last for ever, will light your gauges at 100m and your table during a power cut and just one of the best diving buys I have ever made, not sure where there made or if you can still get them but as bright, in-destructible backup light there great. I use it for shallow night dives when traveling light as well - recommended.
