Diving in the Northwest!
Hi I thought it was about time that I wrote something useful lol so here it is!!! As well as what’s written here if you look in my Albums you will find additional images from the Cappernwray site!
Situated on the edge of the beautiful Lake District and less than a mile from the M6 motorway, Capernwray Diving Centre is a special place. They have been welcoming divers from all over the country. Since 1995, Capernwray has grown and developed into the most progressive and professional scuba diving operations in the UK. They offer a unique product; a stunning location, amazingly clear water, excellent in-water attractions with huge and friendly fish (!), and outstanding topside facilities. There are many inland centres in the UK not having dived many my self I can only coment on what I personally have seen but this site has loads to see and do underwater and has good facilities topside to!
There is a wealth of information contained within their website. On site their state-of-the art clubhouse built on two levels, the ground floor of the clubhouse features a bar and restaurant, where you are welcome to come and enjoy our hospitality in your diving gear. No need to change out of your (wet) dry suits between dives! Our home-cooked food is superb and includes an outdoor barbeque at weekends.
Should your club or school require it, they can offer conference facilities for hire on the second floor. Both levels of the clubhouse feature outside terraces overlooking the water, where you and your friends and families can relax and watch the diving going on in the clear water below. Their Dive School pages cover the various courses they offer and go into some detail regarding their teaching philosophy.
Their Facilities include :-
