There are loads of spider Crabs, Cuttle Fish, Several types of fish that I can’t name lol and if your really lucky there are Seals that will swim with you!
I was recently down in Cornwall on a little diving break and for the 5th time I found my self at the Headland in Newquay! I’ve dived here at the headland on 4 previous occasions but never off the the old life boat slip! Although I have herd that it can be difficult to enter and exit the water from the slip I found it to be a very simple and problem free endeavor lol
It was a shallow but decent dive which lasted 49 minutes, the viz wasn’t great loll But we still managed to see loads of life!
If you stay close in to the shore which is very rocky then you can find your self running out of depth quickly which with a bit of a swell can make things interesting, so try not to let your depth get to shallow if the surface is a bit on the ruff side!
If you find your self on the North coast of Cornwall you will probably find that there are very few shore dives that have such easy access as the headland most take quite a hike with gear to get to the water! So if you really want to get in the water and you don’t want a trek then I recommend the headland at Newquay!
