Diving Last Weekend

Went out last weekend with Cornish Diving Services to the Mohegan and Manacles Reef.

The Mohegan went down October 14th 1898 with the loss of some 108 lives.  The Mohegan was an American liner.  Apparently the life boat was launched before the liner even hit the pinacles of the Manacles reef as the look out knew they were in trouble being that close. Two enormous boilers are the highlight of this wreck.

Photo is taken of the mohegan sinking!

It all looked wonderful this weekend with pink sea fans coating the sea bed, deadmans fingers, wrasse and enormous crabs.  The Manacles is current filled with plenty of food, so lots of life.  Had an early plankton bloom

I highly recommend Steve and his team at Cornish Diving Services Falmouth.  They have a large Rib, and extensive knowledge of the sites in the area.  £18 a dive where ever they go, which is very extensive, and unlimited tea on return!
