Review of the TUSA IQ-700 Dive computer - excellent starter DC!
TUSA IQ-700 Dive Computer
Have used this dive computer for several years now and highly recommend it! I bought mine in Barbados for about £180 but I’ve seen loads cheaper on Internet.
The computer has a large puck-sized display and operating panel with three large buttons. Its very use to use, both underwater and up top. Dead easy recall of data. The battery can be replaced by the user using just a coin and this is a big cost saver. Batteries are easy available.
The other thing that really sets this unit apart from the competition, is that you can programme two different mixtures into it - so you can use one mix for the dive - and another for your safety stop.
There are two safety settings, which are useful for divers who may not be as fit as they once were or who want to add to the conservativeness of the algorithm.
Data is downlable to a pc, but be aware it does not work on Vista!
I would recommend the IQ-700 as a great started dive computer. Even comes with a spare scratch preventer.
Other Features include:
• Visual and audio alarms for critical situations
• Compatible for both air and Nitrox (up to a 50% oxygen mix)
• Settable PO2 and personal safety input
• Safety stop function
• No-decompression and decompression dive data both with air and Nitrox

• Dive time alarm
